Experience
I planned and lead seminars for undergraduate students, as well as providing academic tutoring both online and face-to-face. I also marked written assessments and examinations and performed general administrative duties, such as registers, marks grids, and online marking using in-house systems. During my time at the University of Manchester I taught on a variety of courses that covered literature, cinema, cultural studies, theatre, politics, and a number of other humanities subjects, namely American Film, American Literature and Social Criticism, American Political Culture, and Reading Film. I have also held a position as a consultant analyst that involved creating 14,000 word summary analyses of key scholarly texts based upon pre-existing content maps. The products that I created are essentially learning materials that are both adapted into videos for educational purposes and made available as templates for institutions around the world to use in the teaching of key texts. The analyses deal with every aspect of the text, including the author’s biography, the literature that surrounded the seminal study, the critics that the study provoked, and the field of literature that the seminal study inspired. My role also involved refereeing the analyses of other analysts.
